Christmas Day

Despite the obvious dark clouds hanging over the Borski Ranch, Christ overcame. Christmas day was " OK" Richard, Papi and I made the best of it, by cooking a couple of hams, pork chops, chicken, gumbo and many other things. Enough to feed an army or two. Richard and I actually came across a black widow when digging through some wood for a bonfire... Pic to come. We all stayed warm by Richards kerosene, oil and liter fluid induced fire and watched as "donkey boy" danced around. To explain, Deno and Leroy gave us a picture of Richard riding a very stubborn donkey. You really had to be there. Thanks for the laughs and for keeping us all in good humor. We love you Richard, and don't know what we would do with out you suggie.

Saucier Christmas

Saucier

Christmas was a blast. I love my new family and my new last name. We are so lucky to be blessed with two families who are so supportive and loving.

We started the weekend at the Richards parents. We met Brooks boy-friend for the first time. He got along well with everyone including the protective older brother : ) . We ate a lot of great food and had a ton of great conversation. What a wonderful Christmas!

LIVING ROOM READY!

All I have to say is I hate rug shopping. It is seriously the most difficult thing that I have bought, ever! It was probably more difficult than buying a wedding dress. It is something that we have to live with for God knows how long, and we want it to be cheap and awesome at the same time. Good luck right? We started our search at The Dump. It was a dump, but at premium prices. No bueno. (I'm just mad at the sales manager because he was mean to Richard when we returned a rug that was too small) Our fault, but not going back! So we tried online and every other store that sells rugs. After all this wasted time we finally found it today! Garden Ridge is the bomb.... they have everything, and at great prices. I sound like a commercial, oh well, don't care, I can't wait to go back!!! I love it!!!

New tools!

Grandma Poppy Borski decided to hook Richard up with a new tool set for his Birthday. Now we don't have an excuse to fix the fence, plumbing... etc! Thanks Ya'll!

Richard's Birthday!

We celebrated Richards birthday on Monday the 24th! The three of us had a great time opening presents, cooking steaks, and singing "happy birthday"! Richard loved his new grill utensil set. It really helped out with the cooking.

This is Rowdy singing! Either he is singing along, or he is telling us to stop...

Here is my first attempt at making cheesecake! It was edible : )

Grandma Borski's B-day

We had a great time at Grandma's 83rd b-day party this past Saturday. Richard actually went to the nursing home, believe it or not. He didn't go as far as eat any of the food that was brought but he had a good time visiting with the Borski's.

Grandma looked great. She was dressed up, hair done, and sitting up in the wheel chair. She seemed to have a great time at her party. It us hard to believe she has been in this situation for almost 2 years now. I am just glad that she was feeling good enough to enjoy her birthday.

Anyway here are some pics. First, all the kid, then our family. We were cracking up because Pop was making disgusting potty comments to the poor person trying to take the picture. Never a dull moment with the Borski's

Rowdy's new found Freedom!

We recently installed a doggie door for the Bear! He actually loves it! We never thought we could have one because, A. Rowdy's door would have to be big enough to fit a person, and B. we are not very good at the "do it yourself projects" Although we were reluctant to start this project, we used one of our wedding gift card-home-depot- (thank you Chrissy) and bought the door online. It took one full evening for Richard and I to cut the whole in the door, with the 50 year old circular saw we borrowed from the late-Mr. Rufas Borski- aka Gramp. Richard only almost lost my face and his shin not to mention my face, but we managed to get er done with out and amputations. Next, we had to fit the door. This was a bigger challenge that we expected, so we called in reinforcements(Poppy) and the door was complete in about 15 minutes. He made it look easy! Don't think we will be using these tools again anytime soon. At least not without THE Poppy!

Honeymoon

ARUBA ARRIBA!

Aruba was so even more wonderful than expected. The people there are so nice, the drinking water is clean, and yes the food is superb. We stayed at the Hyatt which was the bomb! I found it difficult to get use to everyone calling me, " Mrs. Saucier". OK, it is still weird. Anyway, we highly recommend "One Happy Island". Aruba.

OUR WEDDING

I wish we could have posted this closer to the actual day. That wedding wiped us out. I think we are finally feeling back to normal.

Just to recap. We had the best wedding day possible. Everything worked out perfectly and we had a GREAT time. Our family and friends were who kept everything together for us. I know that we couldn't have done it without all of them. It is amazing to experience how loving and willing to help our close family and friends are. We feel very blessed.

Most of all we are blown away by how helpful my parents were with the wedding. They were so willing to give us the wedding of our dreams, and they did. I hope we can do the same for our kids one day. : )
